1970s

Mary Pippitt-Cervantes '72 moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico seven years ago and loves the expat life. She is enjoying the beautiful colonial town filled with music and art.

 

 

 

1980s

B. Allison Borkenheim '87 was named partner at the California powerhouse law firm Best Best & Krieger LLP.

 

 

 

Marti Tirinnanzi '82 joined the faculty of Catholic University to teach accounting and finance in the Busch Graduate School of Business. She also serves on the Board of Directors of ICE Mortgage Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of the Fortune 50 Company, Intercontinental Exchange.

 

 

Marisa Wilson '80 is interim chair of the Department of Family, Community and Health Systems at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and director of the Master of Science in nursing degree program in nursing health services leadership.

 

 

1990s

Eliza Navarro Bangit '97 was promoted to general counsel for the DC Health Link public exchange program, after serving as director of marketplace innovation, policy, and operations.

 

 

2000s

Matthew Carpenter M’02 was appointed the superintendent of schools for the Oneida City School District, after having served as director of early childhood education for the Syracuse City School District.

 

 

Deana Giannelli M’05 was named the Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year by the Maryland Association of Secondary School Principals. She is assistant principal at Perry Hall Middle School.

 

 

Stacey A. Rebbert M’09 was promoted to assistant vice president, marketing & corporate communications with Harford Mutual Insurance Group. A marketing professional for 35 years, she first joined Harford Mutual in 2013.

 

 

Andre Richardson M’08 was named vice president of student services at Jarvis Christian College, having served as an educator for 23 years and a U.S. Navy officer during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

 

 

Erin Riley ’01 directed Company of Women’s performance in Henry VI for the 2021 Maryland Renaissance Festival. She is also associate artistic director at the Strand Theater.

 

 

2010s

Janal Daniel ’11, M’16 was named director of learning and social accountability at the Baltimore Center Stage, where she oversees educational programming, collaborates on the organization’s social accountability actions, and leads its culture of learning.

 

 

Camille Gibson M’19 was selected as Eastern Region Middle Level Art Educator of the Year by the National Art Education Association. She teaches at Golden Ring Middle School and leads the art department.

 

 

Susan Hahn M’18 was appointed to the Maryland Family Engagement Coalition, comprised of child development experts, policymakers, early care and education providers, and community advocates.

 

 

Dr. Susan Johnson D’12 was named assistant superintendent for the Calvert County Public Schools, after having served as instruction director of secondary school improvement since 2016.

 

 

Krysten Sneade M’17 was named assistant principal at Calvert Elementary School, after having served as an adaptive physical educator for Prince George’s County Public Schools overseeing regional program staff.

 

 

2020s

Dr. Kofi Andoh D’21 was appointed work group 1 vice chair for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ inaugural Section Advisory Group on Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents. He collaborates with emerging pharmacy leaders to advance the profession and collective training.

 

Keira Mull ’20 is a co-author on the paper, “Acoustic Trauma Increases Ribbon Number and Size in Outer Hair Cells of the Mouse Cochlea,” published in the peer-reviewed Journal of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology.

 

 

���ܳ���&�Բ�����;�ʴDZ������Բ�����&�Բ�����;’21 is working in a pediatric operating room as a registered nurse. She absolutely loves taking care of her kiddos!

 

 

In Memorium

Sister Mary Dolorosa Bundy ’62, whose teaching ministry took her to Chicago, Detroit and New Orleans, passed away Nov. 16, 2020. She was a member of the Oblate Sisters of Providence. She crocheted, wrote calligraphy, and decorated the gift shop at the Oblate Sisters’ convent.

Patricia Virginia Byrd Kelly ’54 passed away Sept. 4, 2020. She volunteered with Right to Life of Maryland, which earned her honors from the Maryland Catholic Conference, Catholic Bishops of Maryland, and Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington’s Legislative Network.

Elizabeth (Cleary) McGinty ’63, a retired litigator, passed away May 12, 2021. She attended law school at night, while working as an IRS revenue officer. She later married her husband, a law school classmate. After raising their daughters, she began to practice law and made partner.

Jean McLoughlin ’60, SSND passed away July 22, 2021. She attended Catholic schools through college. She served as director of mission & ministry for seven years at ������ַ��ȫ and was honored with the Distinguished Staff Award.

Audrey O'Connor ’57 passed away May 8, 2021. She returned to Baltimore when she retired and died within 5 miles of her birthplace. She loved Baltimore, was thankful for the education she received at Notre Dame, and had lifelong friendships with Notre Dame classmates.

Ella (Galvin) O’Conor ’43, daughter-in-law of a Maryland governor, passed away July 8, 2021. She earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Notre Dame and wore an originally designed gown at her wedding. She volunteered at the Maryland School for the Blind.

��DZ�����&�Բ�����;��ǻ�Ƿɲ����&�Բ�����;’53, prolific author of children’s and young adult novels often set in Maryland, passed away Oct. 5, 2020. She often appeared on the American Library Association’s annual Notable Books list. Poet and Notre Dame professor Sr. Maura Eichner encouraged her to write.

Tracey (Savino) Tokarski ’90, M’18 passed away July 23, 2021. She was principal of St. Joan of  
Arc School in Aberdeen, MD and had a passion for STEM education. She and her husband became grandparents when their daughter and her husband had a baby boy in 2020.
